Fictional sample reports

See what the monthly advisory work looks like.

A retainer should buy more than meetings and loose comments in chat. These four A4 reports show how senior advice is turned into decisions, conditions, owners and a sensible next work plan.

Package deliverables

Four packages. Four different working depths.

The difference is not decorative page count. A larger retainer gives the consultant enough time to follow several decisions, review more technical material and maintain a broader management view.

A fair expectation

The output follows the work, not a page quota.

A quiet month may produce a shorter decision note. A difficult release or architecture change may need a more detailed record. The consultant will not spend paid time filling pages that do not help your team make or carry out a decision.

Subject to consultants' availability. Meetings, preparation, research, document review, written notes and between-session replies use the monthly allocation. Testing, implementation, incident response and work outside the agreed systems are separately scoped.

Bring the systems and decisions that are consuming your team's time.

We will recommend the smallest package that can cover the actual monthly decision load, and explain what should stay as separately scoped work.
